Why I Set Goals

In doing some goal-setting today, I stopped to consider why I do this. I came up with four reasons:

  1. To challenge myself.
  2. To attain fulfillment (as I accomplish my goals).
  3. To serve others. Otherwise, this gets left to chance, I'm afraid, and I'd rather not chance it.
  4. To be a role model. To me, this is the real "leverage" component of goal setting. I think that maybe our best chance of provoking major positive change is through inspiring others.

The past two weeks have been tough, health-wise. Lori and I are still coming out of a bout with a nasty respiratory virus. Viruses are nasty things.

This Design is Getting Old

The look of this web site has suffered long enough.  To say it is "getting old" is inaccurate.  It was old (or ugly, rather) to begin with.  Coming within a matter of a week or so, thankfully, is a new design that Andrew cooked up for me, and I can't wait.
