I thought a news story that popped up today had a an interesting tidbit.

Granted, I'm far from the most informed political activist around Boerne, but this article is the first I'd heard about Cecil Lamb being a candidate for United States House of Representatives. He's no longer in the race, and his reason for dropping out might raise questions regarding his commitment to going the distance in the first place. Just surprises me that I'd not heard of his efforts.
